Bark is ideal for providing a decorative surface and give an attractive finish to borders, paths and hard surfaces. Applying a layer of Bark will help to suppress weeds and reduce time spent in maintaining a neat weed-free garden. Bark also help improve the soil’s moisture retention capability whilst insulating and protecting plant roots.

How to use Decorative Bark…

Decorative bark is quick and easy to lay by simply raking out over the area required.

For maximum benefit, the area should first be weeded before raking out the bark to a minimum depth of 50 – 80 mm. If the area is particularly susceptible to weed growth, first lay down a fabric membrane, then apply bark to a depth of 50 mm.

When to use Decorative Bark…

This bark can be applied all year round and should last for several seasons, only requiring a top up of fresh bark on the surface to maintain its striking appearance.
