We are extremely proud to be involved with the community project in Whitehaven.

Men in Sheds – Mirehouse                                                                                        

 Men in Sheds takes its inspiration from the Men in Sheds movement originally started in Australia; The Mirehouse ‘shed’ operates from the Community Centre on Seathwaite Avenue and was originally set up by AgeUK to provide men aged 50 or over with a dedicated space for their age group where they can make things, socialise, share skills or just enjoy a brew.

Thanks to support from the local community and businesses the Mirehouse shed is now able to expand and offer additional activities. The photo featured are before and after photos, utilising our compost for the raised beds and using our shop at Wilson Pit as an outlet for some of the projects made by the group.
